Alice is a warm, playful, curious and hopeful therapist who loves working with children and families. She holds a deep respect for children and their inner lives, and feels privileged to support parents in connecting with their children and with their own memories of childhood. In her work as a therapist, she brings nonjudgemental curiosity and compassion. She holds in mind how culture, race, class, gender, and religion influence clients’ hopes, fears, and experiences. She aims to provide both space for exploration and uncertainty, as well as structure and concrete tools.
Alice began as a preschool teacher at Beginnings Nursery School, before completing her graduate degree in clinical social work. As a clinician, she specializes in working with children and their caregivers. She is trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions program, the skills-based ParentCorps program, and the attachment-based Circle of Security program. She is also currently completing an eighteen-month training in Perinatal Child-Parent Psychotherapy. When not working with Feelings School, Alice provides therapy to families with young children in the Brownesville/East New York area.
