Freedom (they/them) believes deeply that all children are deserving of care, attention, and connection. They are thrilled to be able to support young people and their parents at The Feelings School.

Outside of their work at The Feelings School, they offer individual therapy to adults at The Healing Collective. They specialize in working with Black and Brown communities, queer communities, neurodivergent folx, and first-generation Americans. Their therapeutic approach is mindful, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and full of deep care.

Freedom is a career-switching professional who followed their curiosity back to school after more than a decade working at an education nonprofit. They earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Barnard College and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University. They are also trained as a full-spectrum doula and mindfulness instructor.

When they’re not working, you can usually find Freedom trying a new food, practicing yoga, knitting something (with varying degrees of success), walking barefoot, or writing a silly song.
